DR SANESH MISEER

Dr Sanesh Miseer graduated with an MBBCh from The University of the Witwatersrand and completed his postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery. He moved to Cape Town to pursue his interest in spinal surgery and attained an internationally recognised Spine Fellowship (IGASS).

Dr Miseer serves as the head of the Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery Department at the Tygerberg Academic Hospital. It is here where he demonstrates his expertise in complex spinal surgeries to treat degenerative diseases, fractures, and paediatric deformities. Dr Miseer has a passion for paediatric deformity surgery and strives to give children who suffer from scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, and kyphosis a new lease on life.

Also a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University, Dr Miseer teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. He acts as Treasurer of The South African Spine Society and is the Chairman of AOSpine South Africa. He is an examiner for the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and contributes to both local and international journals.
